The Valley of Flowers is a beautiful national park located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. The best time to visit the valley is from July to September when the flowers are in full bloom. The valley remains closed during the winter months due to heavy snowfall. The trek to the valley is a challenging one and requires a certain level of fitness. The nearest town to the valley is Govindghat, which is well-connected by road and can be easily reached from major cities like Delhi and Dehradun. After Delhi, your first stop will be Rishikesh, you can go for an overnight journey to Rishikesh from New Delhi. Once you reach Rishikesh, get freshen up and start the further 280 kilometers journey to Govindghat. From Govindghat, the Valley of Flowers is around 12 kilometers far. On the way to your trek, you will see the amazing Himalayan birds and animals, you will also come across the small village named Ghangaria which is also a halt for the Sikh pilgrims who are going to Hemkunt sahib (a Sikh temple). When you cross the village, the trek is further divided into two trails. The left trail goes to the Valley of Flowers.
